As Iowa high school baseball and softball teams make their postseason push, fans across Northwest Iowa have plenty to keep an eye on. Here’s how to catch the action, follow the road to state, and make sure sketchy livestream links don't throw you a curveball.
The 2026 Iowa high school state baseball and softball tournaments are both scheduled for July 20 through July 24, giving fans several ways to cheer on their favorite teams from home, on the go, or wherever summer plans take them.
Information in this post is current as of July 14, 2026. Because postseason schedules, brackets, qualifiers, and broadcast details can change quickly, fans should check the official IHSAA, IGHSAU, Iowa PBS (Girls Only), and Bound pages for the latest updates before game time.
Iowa Boys High School State Baseball

The 2026 IHSAA State Baseball Tournament will be played July 20 through July 24.
This year’s tournament sites are:
• Cedar Rapids for Class 4A and Class 3A
• Carroll for Class 2A and Class 1A
Fans can watch the state baseball tournament through the IHSAA's network. According to the IHSAA, free broadcast and livestream coverage will be available for all 28 rounds. Additionally, statewide over the air TV coverage, and other over the top options through the IHSAA’s TV Tournament Partners will also be available.
Quarterfinal and semifinal games across the first four days (July 20-23) are scheduled to be played simultaneously. Tournament Partners, like KTIV, may select games based on schedule availability and coverage areas. Please check local listings for daily schedules.
The main way to watch is to visit the IHSAA State Baseball Tournament Central page and look for the “Watch the Action” section or go to their YouTube page.
Iowa Girls High School State Softball ️
The 2026 IGHSAU Girls State Softball Tournament will also be played July 20 through July 24 at Harlan Rogers Park in Fort Dodge.
Championship game coverage will air statewide on Iowa PBS and will also be livestreamed on iowapbs.org and IGHSAU's YouTube.

The final championship schedule is:
Thursday, July 23
- Class 2A at 5 p.m.
- Class 4A at 7 p.m.
Friday, July 24
- Class 1A at 2:30 p.m.
- Class 3A at 5 p.m.
- Class 5A at 7 p.m.
